EveryMind is offering several online workshops for youth this summer. Each workshop is a one-time, 1.5-hour session designed to:
- Give youth a space to discussion topics that are relevant to them, and
- Foster opportunities for youth to share their opinions and build connections with other youth.
Mind, Body, Spirit and Harmony through Breath Work (for youth ages 12-15)
This workshop will teach self-affirmations and refusal/coping skills. Youth will also learn the value of breathing and relaxing into their bodies as a way of staying connected and true to themselves.
Beauty Is … (for youth ages 14-17)
This workshop explores messages that youth receive on social media about how they are supposed to look, act and behave in society – whether girls/women, boys/men, or gender-nonconforming and non-binary youth.
Throwing Stress Away (for youth ages 13-17)
This workshop explores coping strategies that youth utilize when under stress and discusses healthy, positive ways to cope with stress.
Being Included, Being Left Out (for girls ages 10-13)
This workshop explores feelings and ideas about inclusion and exclusion, and how they affect friendships and other relationships.
Rate It: Comparing Social Media (for youth ages 13-17)
This workshop defines social media and the different types of social platforms that exist.
Roll the Dice (for boys ages 10-14)
By working with other boys to talk and communicate, boys will build skills in recognizing and expressing a broad range of emotions.
Due to COVID-19, all workshops will be offered online. Workshops will be facilitated by EveryMind staff.
