Groups for Children and Youth

EveryMind offers in-person and virtual groups on a wide-variety of topics for children and youth throughout the year. These groups are designed to give youth a space to discussion topics that are relevant to them and foster opportunities for youth to share their opinions with other youth and build connections.

2026 Groups

When Siblings Bond (For ages 9-13)

In this group, siblings will work together to strengthen their connection, work on cooperation and create lasting memories. Children will participate in collaborative games and creative projects to foster trust, communicate and create a stronger family relationship.

Go Girls (For ages 11-13)

This one-week program will provide female identifying youth an opportunity to come together to explore positive self image, peer relationships and personal growth.

Boys Council (For ages 9-12)

This one-week program will provide male identifying youth an opportunity to come together to challenge myths and question stereotypes regarding emotions and social expectations.

Sibshops 

This is a fun event just for brothers and sisters of children with developmental, health or mental health concerns. They will meet other siblings of children with support needs; have fun; talk to others who “get it”; support each other and have their time to shine! For ages 9-12.

Throwing Stress Away (For ages 13-17)

Exploring coping strategies that they utilize when under stress as well as discussing ways to cope with stress in healthy positive ways.

Self-Care Tool Kit for Kids (For ages 10-13)

Children will build a Self-Care Toolkit, which will include DIY items and individual self-care supports. Children will also learn how to use mindfulness and meditation to manage stress and discover their strength and resilience.

Healthy Relationships (For ages 14-17)

This group will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and participate in a discussion about relationships (friendships and romantic/intimate). The aim is to engage participants in challenging societal expectations of how we relate to our relationships and to identify the characteristics of a healthy relationship.

Being in the Here and Now (For ages 12-16)

o Do you find yourself often on autopilot, constantly doing multiple things at the same time and feeling disconnected?

o Do you find yourself focused on the past or the future instead of being in the present moment?

Learn skills to help you be more present and reduce self criticism. Learn and practice “being mode” instead of “doing mode”.

Sitting in the “ugh” (For ages 12-16)

o Do you ever find yourself struggling with stress, emotions and urges, or have difficulty managing these emotions?

o Do you feel emotions more intensely or easily than most people?

Learn helpful strategies to calm yourself down from hard emotions such as anger, sadness, and /or anxiety.

Feelings First Aid  (For ages 12-16)

o Do your emotions often get the best of you?

o Want to learn about how to respond instead of react to them?

Learn to sit with and cope with difficult emotions and reduce the negative impacts of these emotions. Learn about the purpose of emotions, how to respond instead of reacting, and how to move from dysregulation to regulation.

o Do you have difficulty with communicating with others?

o Are you struggling to maintain self-respect and assertiveness in relationships?
